Configuration Options

The SiteBuilder Elite V4 Configuration screen has been reworked somewhat so that it's a little different to that in previous versions of the software.

In the header at the top of the screen are a list of links to other admin modules in the software. These will be covered later in the manual and you should get familiar with the base Configuration screen first before looking at these advanced features.

At the top of the cream-colored section of the screen is a list of quicklinks that will take you directly to different sections of the site configuration page.

In the boxes where you select colours to use on your site, you can now select a colour from a colour picker. This should make it easier to select a colour scheme for your site. This is what the color picker looks like:

To select a color in the large pane at left, click and drag the cross that will appear.

Using the central slider, you can change the color palette in the left pane.

At right are the numeric boxes (for those who want to use specific color values). You can enter color codes in the Red/Green Blue (RGB) boxes, the Hue/Saturation/Brightness (HSB) boxes or as a hexadecimal code in the # box.

To apply the selected color, click the round button at the bottom right of the color-picker window.

Now, let’s look at each configuration section in turn - if you own a previous version of SiteBuilder Elite, you will see some differences here...

Site Configuration Settings

This is the largest admin page in SiteBuilder Elite and controls all the layout aspects of your site. It is concerned with site-specific settings such as colours, page width, fonts, navigation bar alignment, using 2-column or 3-column layout, etc. Those type of settings are pretty self-explanatory. This section is broken down into several mini-sections which will be detailed in the following pages...
